Reynaldo is 32 years old. He lives with his sister and her husband and two children in a two bedroom apartment in Marikina, a town 3 hours away from Caloocan, Manila. Reynaldo saw Operation Restore Hope on the national TV news in 2005 and came along to our clinic in Caloocan to have his cleft palate and lip repaired. The surgery had to be done in two stages, so Reynaldo saw us again in 2006.

The surgery is a dream come true for Reynaldo, who has been embarrassed of his inability to speak clearly all his life, due to his cleft palate. He studied very hard at school and went on to complete a two year course to qualify as an auto-mechanic. One day he hopes to have his own business.
