Since ORH's beginnings in the Philippines we have encountered very few child protection cases.  Whatever, we encounter, however, it is our policy to work with our local partners to ensure that not only do we follow the proper channels but that we provide the best possible care and protection for all of our children

Child protection agencies do exist in the Philippines. The Head of Child Protection in the Philippines is aware of our work and has welcomed us to refer any children or women whom we may encounter that might need assistance or intervention. 

Their website,  www.childprotection.org.ph is well worth looking at as it lists many affiliated organisations and charities.  In Manila the major center is the Child Protection Unit at the University of the Philippines, Philippine General Hospital and in Cebu the Women and Children Protection Unit at Vincent Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
