Dr. Darryl Hodgkinson, founder and CEO of Operation Restore Hope has gained recognition for his work in both plastic & cosmetic surgery throughout the world. He established Operation Restore Hope to create complete surgical and medical charity for not only the treatment of cleft lip and palate for less fortunate children but also to work with his international colleagues and colleagues in the Philippines to ensure that sustainable treatment and training programs are developed. Trained at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, Dr. Hodgkinson holds two degrees in plastic surgery, has published more than 50 articles in the field and travels internationally to lecture and educate other surgeons in plastic and aesthetic plastic surgery. |

Iraqi-born, Dr Ahmed Alkadhi is an overseas and New Zealand trained plastic surgeon. He has been settled in Hamilton, NZ with his wife Shirook and two boys since 1995.
Ahmed works in both the public (Waikato Hospital) and private (Tristram Clinic) systems in New Zealand and has a special interest in cleft palate and lip surgery.
He joined ORH in 2008 and enjoyed the overall experience and the company of what was the largest team ever to go across to the Philippines. |

| Dr Aberin is a Volunteer Ent. Surgeon for Operation Restore Hope. Based in Manila, she is an invaluable asset to the ORH team, allowing cleft lip & palate surgery to continue throughout the year when the mission is not present. The ability to learn from some of the world’s best cleft palate surgeons and adopt new surgical techniques is just one of the reasons Dr Aberin enjoys being a part of ORH. She also finds that she makes fantastic friends each year through the experience and just loves the delicious donated lunches we receive at the hospital! |

| Tristan is a prominent academic surgeon in New Zealand. Born in Canada and raised in South Africa, he has settled in New Zealand with his wife Lauren and their two children. He is a widely trained surgeon and has a specific interest in paediatric and cranio facial surgery. He splits his work 50/50 between public and private practice. Tristan has been with Operation Restore Hope since 2001 and is continually struck by the incredible friendliness of the Filipino people he meets on every mission. |

Dr Vishal Doctor is chief Resident in otolaryngology at UC Davis in Sacramento California. 2007 is his first mission trip, and he has enjoyed tremendously the warmth and kindness of the people of Cebu. He developed an interest in Cleft lip and palate surgery during his residency and this trip has been an invaluable learning and life experience. He looks forward to participating in future mission trips

Robin A. Dyleski, MD, FACS is an Associate Professor and the Director of Paediatric Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City. She has been annually participating in Operation Restore Hope since 1999 and is currently one of the Surgical Team Leaders. Formerly the Medical Director of the Cleft Palate Team at Arkansas Children's Hospital in the United States, she has been able to recruit some of the best cleft lip and palate surgeons from the United States into ORH and help improve training of local surgeons and provide the opportunities for underprivileged children in the Philippines to have a smile. "It is amazing that in an operation lasting a little over an hour, the future and life of one small child born with a cleft lip can be changed so drastically, by restoring a normal smile. The chance to give a child a chance to succeed in life keeps bringing me back year after year."

| Jim Gaffield originates from San Francisco but is currently living in Queensland, Australia. A Plastic Surgeon, Jim began working with the Operation Restore Hope team in 2003. He gains immense personal satisfaction from being able to make life easier for a child born into unfortunate circumstances and is overwhelmed by the kindness of Filipinos every year. Jim also loves coming back each year to experience the abundance of great food and lively entertainment in the Philippines. |

| Jim Pearson is a senior resident in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in New York City. After residency, he will complete a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The 2007 mission was his first with Operation Restore Hope. During the mission, he operated on 20 patients including both cleft lip and palate cases. Dr. Pearson looks forward to continuing his relationship with Operation Restore Hope in the future and to returning to the Philippines in 2008. |

| Craig Senders joins Operation Restore Hope for the first time in 2007. Dr Senders is director of the UC Davis Cleft and craniofacial program. He has participated in similar missions to Luncena, Philippines, Honduras, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Russia and Bolivia. He feels giving his services to the needy people of the world is a way to give something back. The Philippines holds a special space in his heart because of its people and its mangoes! |

| Christopher is from Leipzig in Germany. He practices plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and has a special interest in hand and burn surgery. He joined Operation Restore Hope in 2000 and has been an integral part of missions in both Manila and Cebu. Every year he looks forward to the opportunity to share skills and experience, the fantastic comradeship of the Operation Restore Hope team and the warmth of the Filipino people. |
