Before & After Gallery of Cleft Lip and Palate Patients.
Here are just a few results of our thousands to show you what a difference surgery can make to a child’s appearance with cleft lip and palate. It is not just appearance though. Surgical repair of a cleft has many functional aspects as well in a child’s development.
Early treatment and repair of cleft lip and palate assist in the infant’s normal uptake of food, oxygen, development of speech and of course normal socialization. Surgery makes it possible for these children to communicate, whether through speech or simply smiling. Surgery also gives them the chance that they deserve to assume their place in society and hopefully fulfil their potential. If they remain unaided, they are unlikely to be able to thrive, speak normally, attend school or gain employment.
